Dave Chongo explains HVAC modernization at historic Smouse Opportunity School

Smouse Opportunity School, part of the Des Moines Public Schools educational system, was a breakthrough facility when it was built in 1930 for special needs students. Its most recent modernization had its own breakthrough aspects including a new VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) HVAC system from LG that could be effectively installed in a facility that was never designed to have air conditioning. KCL Engineering's Dave Chongo explains our engineering design philosophy and reasons behind using this LG VRF system. The best part of this project was knowing the exceptional students and teachers in the building would experience an exceptionally comfortable environment day in and day out.
