Staff from KCL Engineering were present for four days during the third week of January 2015 for the final analysis, commissioning and official MLB approval of the new LED stadium lighting at Safeco Field, home of the Seattle Mariners. The culmination of a two-year process, Safeco Field was the first MLB facility to deploy LED stadium lighting with this system establishing a new gold standard for the appearance of major league baseball nighttime games and HD broadcasts. Safeco’s video and scoreboard screen is the largest in the MLB, and the 23rd largest video capable screen in the world. The new lighting eliminates any flicker of the action during ultra-slow motion replay.
