Mercy Healing Garden Lighting, Clive, Iowa

The Community Healing Garden began in 2014 with two goals in mind – to offer organically grown produce to cancer patients and their families and to serve as a healing environment where patients could go to retreat, rest and reflect while undergoing cancer treatment.

In 2016 the healing garden was transformed with the addition of a new sculpture fountain created by local artist, John Brommel.  Three panels were also installed featuring words submitted by cancer patients; faith, hope and love. KCL Engineering designed a unique color-changing lighting system that brings the healing garden to life in the evening and night hours. Our team worked with the cancer center’s staff to ensure color-changing programs achieved a calming effect, allowing the lighting to be an additional source of peace and solace for patients and loved ones.
